what will be the volume of a gas when 3 litres of it is cooled down from 15 degree Celsius to -73 degree Celsius at constant temperature.

correct question is,

What will be the volume of a gas when 3 litres of it is cooled down from 15 degree Celsius to -73 degree Celsius at PRESSURE.


here's the answer,


Temperature should be in Kelvin

so, T1 = 273+15=288

T2= 273+(-73)=200


At constant pressure,

V1T2=V2T1

so V2= V1*T2/T1

hence,

3*200/288

=2.08L
