Why fire flame goes upward??

the flame is in the form of gas..and due to low density of gases...it goes up....

But since flames are gasses, they mix with the air as it rushes in to push them upward, and the oxygen in that air is enough to keep the fire going. ... This creates continuous cycle of upward moving hot air around the flame. This air pushes the flame also upwards. This gives the flame its elongated or teardrop shape.
