what will form in a chemical reaction between citric acid and potassium permanganate ??? along with reactions​

So citric acid is oxidised in this reaction. No as citric acid is an organic acid which is weak in nature.Thus it can not act as a reducing agent. ... The reaction with KMnO4 will be a brute force oxidation, in acidic solution resulting CO2, H2O, and Mn+2 ion .
