what will hapen when human blood cells will be placed in hypertonic salt/sugar

If the cell is placed in the hypertonic solution the cell shrinks  as the water from the cell is drawn out into the surrounding solution as hypertonic solution is the one which has less water content so naturally water from the cell is drawn out.
