If the Earth starts to rotates in East to West then the sunrise will be on the west and sunset will be on east and this is same for the stars also The tidal humps too would travel from West to East. Besides this there would be a complete change in the wind patterns and the ocean currents. This will affect precipitation and so the weather and climate will undergo drastic changes. New rivers will be formed and existing rivers may dry up. Fertile lands may turn into deserts. The resulting droughts will have devastating effects on mankind wiping out humans and livestock on a continental scale. Survivors will be reduced to environmental refugees.
