a) If excess of fertilizers are added to the green grass laawn, then it would adversely affect the absorption of water by the roots. As excess of fertilizers will increase make soil hypertonic and decrease the availability of water for the plants. Water will move out from the root cells as a result of exosmosis resulting in wilting of the grass.
b) Similarly if salt is added to cut pieces of mango, then mango would loose water as a result of exosmosis.
