what will happen if a glass of water is kept under the fan?

Answer:
Yes, some will evaporate. The amount depends on the temperature of the water, the humidity of the room and the air circulation in the room.
The hotter the water the easier some water molecules at the surface of the water will have enough energy to evaporate. You see this effect when very hot but not boiling water is in a glass and you see some smoke like mist rising from the glass especially when the room is cold.
Similarly the less humid the room is and the greater the air circulation in the room the faster evaporation occurs. That's why sweat evaporates faster when you enter an air-conditioned room and you turn on the fan to dry the floor after mopping it.
Try it tonight with a glass of water, just make sure the glass doesn't topple.
