What will happen if cell sap of root hair cells contain high concentration of ions?

If the cell sap of root hair contains high concentration of ions then more water will enter the root cells by endocytosis. This is because due to greater amount of ion the root cells become hypertonic with respect to the surrounding. Hence they absorb more water from the surroundings to become isotonic.
