☘☘ If iron nail is placed in copper sulphate Sol. then in this case iron become more reactive than copper, will displace it from the sol.,After this it results in colour change of the sol. from blue to green.

First we should know what is a displacement reaction.

DISPLACEMENT REACTION

<fontcolor=red>A reaction in which a more reactive metal displaces a less reactive metal from its salt solution is called a displacement reaction.

So, what happens when a iron nail is placed in a copper sulphate solution.

When a iron nail is placed in a coppersulphate solution a displacement reaction takes place. The iron being more reactive than copper displaces copper from its salt solution and forms ferrous sulphate + Copper .The copper sulphate solution is blue in which which changes to green colour after the reaction.
