What will happen if only plants and humans are left on earth as living organisms or biotic

Many plants require mycelium, a fungus/bacteria colony which allows their roots to uptake vital nutrients. And dead plant and human remains can not be broken down without these consumers, so that the nutrients can be made available to future generations of life.
