Plasma membrane is the puter covering of the cell and it protects the cell from surroundings.
If plasma membrance will break or rupture then it will be harmful for the cell and the cell will not able to exchange materials from its surroundings through osmosis or diffusion.

If the plasma membrane ruptures  the cell won't be able the absorb or give away materials through osmosis and diffusion as osmosis takes place because of the selectively permeable membrane.

The protoplasmic materials will disappear.

Therefore the cell will die.
