What will happen if saprotrophs disappear from the forest?

there will be no decomposition of dead organisms

Since , Saprotrophs are the decomposer which decomposed the dead and decaying plants.

And if they aren't then dead and decaying animals & plants body will not mix well with soil and will remain which may produce lot of smell which is unfit to inhale.

Being last trophic of food chain they are important.
