It will result into paralysis or a state of coma where only our heart will work and no other body organ will respond. This will result into permanent organ damage as the cells will die without oxygen supply.

Oxygen is the main requirement of the cells in our body which help them to stay alive and do their part in the body. If the cells get deprived of oxygen, then they will stop working resulting into stopping of organs and then organ system and as the heart will only get the oxygen from air, it will keep on functioning, keeping us alive physically but not mentally.
