first of all, Red blood cell and the platelets are different cells.

Red blood cells are the main component of the blood and it helps in oxygen transport and regulation inside body, and without this we are unable to receive oxygen in different organs and cells inside body leads to different abnormalities.

platelets are the type of cells that involved in the blood clotting at the time of any skin damage or cuts. without this we are unable to regenerate our skin damage and blood loss will not stop.
