If there are no tricuspid and bicuspid valve, this will lead to backflow of blood and inter mixing of oxygenated blood with deoxygenated blood, which can cause major problems.
Tricuspid valve:
- It is one of the two main valves present on the right side of heart.
- It has three cusps.
- It helps blood to flow from right atrium to right ventricle.
- It prevents the backflow of blood of right ventricle to right atrium.
Bicuspid valve:
- It is an aortic valve which has only two cusps.
- It regulates the flow of blood from heart into the aorta.
- It preventd the backflow of blood into heart.
- It is also known as mitral valve.
