what will happen if we keep a plant cell or animal cell in hypertonic,hypotonic&osotonic solution

hey friend,

if u will keep in hypertopic then the plant or animal cell will shrink.

if u put in hypotonic then it will swell

if u put in isotonic the no change will happen

In hypotonic solution it will swell due to endosmosis. In hypertonic solution it will shrink as water has tendency to move out of cell due to exosmosis. In isotonic solution it will remain the same.
