What will happen if we travel faster than light

RogueRohan: What I think that may happen is that the object may cease to be a solid and may be turned into photons.but ultimately achieving light speed (even for a dust particle)would require energy equivalent to that of 1 billion neutron energy stars !

happily for relativity you would still not actually be travelling faster than the speed of light in a local space
we really do not know what would happened to time when an object passed the speed of light
