What will happen to a plant cell if it is kept in sugar solution? explain
biswajit1o:
Sugar solution is hypertonic in nature. So when plant cell is kept in it, exosmosis takes place. Which means that water will move out of the cell (i.e. from low concentration in the cell to high concentration out of the cell) and so the cell will shrink in size.

sugar solution have low concentration than concentration in plant cell so
whenever you put plant cell in a sugar solution it will become flaccid by losing water from exosmosis
because in osmosis water Travels from High concentration to low concentration
