If the earth stops rotating, the value of acceleration due to gravity will be equals to 9.832 m/sec^2. Here is the reason, just imagine that initially earth is not spinning and you calculate some value of g lets say equals to X . now earth starts spinning and value of g is changed.why? because of earth'rotation , the centrifugal force push the object in outward direction

It's the centrifugal force, which is effecting g. If the centrifugal force is zero, then no change in the value of X and where is the centrifugal force is zero ?? “At poles”. At poles, g=9.832 m/sec^2.

At equator, the value of g is 9.780 m/sec^2, so therefore the object will weigh 0.5% more at poles than at the equator.

Note:- The above values are calculated neglecting the effects of air resistance.
