what will happen to garbage and dead animals and plants in their absence

The plants(fungi) like mushroom decompose dead animals and grow on garbage so it starts decomposing it and thus they are called decomposers if they are not there the waste and dead animals will pile up.

Almost on thinking over, the plants and dead animals will get decomposed with certain period of time. And the case remained for garbage, the garbage which is dry and include remains of foodstuffs and other decomposable things will get decomposed too.

But the such garbage which includes plastic and other things which can t be decomposed will be staying there.
