What will happen to the cell when it is dropped in a hypotonic solution?

If a cell (considered isotonic, as is blood and other body fluids) is placed in a hypotonic solution, water will rush in and it will explode. If it is placed in a hypertonic solution, water will diffuse out and cause cell shrinkage and injury.
