what will happen to the image formed by a convex lens for various position of the object when the lower of the convex lens is covered by an opaque stream

A complete image of the object will be formed but it will be less bright.Image is always formed due to light falling at every point on the refracting surface of lens.when half of the surface is covered ,the light falling on the rest of the surface will only form the image.so it will be less intense.
