if we kept in sunlight the plant will participate in photosynthesis process and when we kept it in dark first the leaves will change into dark blue or black because there is no sunlight

Potted plant if it is kept in:

1. Bright sunlight:

As sunlight is the one of the important component required by the plants to carry out photosynthesis, difference in its intensity will have direct effect on the plants. If high amount of light is available it will help the plant to synthesize more amount of food.

2. Dark:

When the plant is kept under the dark it will die soon as it cannot perform photosynthesis due to lack of sunlight.

3. Absence of Carbon-di-oxide:

When the plant is kept in the environment where carbon-di-oxide is absent, it will not produce any food because it is the carbon-di-oxide which is converted into glucose by green plants with the help of water during the photosynthesis process.

4. Green light:

The rate of photosynthesis occurs very slowly because the green color pigment called chlorophyll present in the leaves absorbs less amount of green light.
