Anti monopoly law or anti trust laws are launched in order to prevent monopoly of one company (private in general) misusing its command in the market.
In the open-market this anti monopoly law promotes healthy competition. It will reduce the prices. Otherwise monopoly will cause dictation of the prices by the sole manufacturer. That is not good.
Also anti monopoly will help promotion of economy and development of new companies in the same market. It will also help stopping improper or immoral ways of monopolistic companies, if they do so.
