Hope it will help...

A hypotonic solution has less solute concentration and more solvent concentration.

When a cell is placed in hypotonic solution , water enters the cell through endo osmosis.

Plant cells swell up and become turgid.

Animal cells swell and burst due to absence of cell wall.
