The cell wall provides the cell with protection from all the unfavorable conditions. The cell wall is a rigid boundary that separates the cytoplasm with the external environment. Without the cell wall, the plant cell will collapse. Uptake of nutrients be tough and the cell would be without any protection. Hence the plant would eventually die.

When cell wall is not present in cell:
*cell wall provides rigidity and turgidity to the cell
When the cell is kept in hypotonic solution, water enters the cell. If cell wall is not present, more and more water will enter the cell and as a result the cell will burst up
Hope this helps you:)
