English is the internationally spoken language. No matter which country you are in, if you speak English then there would be atleast one person who would be able to communicate with you.

Without English, the people would not be able to communicate with each other and there would be no international relations. Countries might not be able to help each other and the world would not develop without each other’s support. The tribes and other social groups would remain isolated and unaware of what is there outside their own region.

Furthermore, it's not easy to communicate in all languages. This issue is also overcome by English, as it is the common universal language.

Therefore, without English as a common language, the world would not progress or be friendly as they would never understand each other. It is also an indication of how important is a language that all people speak.
