So if oil is thrown open in water it will float on the surface of water and the aerobic bacteria will die in the drain which will cause many problem

1). Used oil generally carries micro organisms or various small particles which increases the viscosity of the drain.

2). Oil creates a layer over the drain water due to which the aeroboc reaction terminates and only anaerobes participate in fermentation. Low oxygen results in low degradation of faecal matter.
