ATQ -----

=> (7x + 10) : (5x + 10) = 9 : 7

=> (7x + 10) / (5x + 10) = 9 / 7

=> 7 (7x + 10) = 9 (5x + 10) [Cross multiplication)

=> 49x + 70 = 45x + 90

=> 49x - 45x = 90 - 70

=> 4x = 20

=> x = 20 / 4

=> x = 5

• A's present age = 7x = (7×5) years = 35 years

• B's present age = 5x = (5×5) years = 25 years

Answer:

Take ages as x...so a and be will be denoted as x...as we hve them in ratio7:5 so ...a=7x and b=5x..

now it is given after 10 years the ratio will be 9:7..so...eqution we will get will be

7x+10 9

_____ = __

5x +10 7

now cross multiply

7 (7x+10)=9 (5x+10)

49x+70=45x+90

49x-45x=90-70

4x=20

x=20÷4

×=5

so.....age of A= 7x

7×5

=35 years

age of B=5x

=5×5

=25 years
