initial density= m/4pi*(r)^3
Case I: If mass is kept constant (sphere is compressed)
In this case mass remains the same as earlier and only radius gets halved
density= mass/volume= m/4pi*(r/2)^3= m/4pi*r^3/8= 8(m/4pi*(r)^3)
= 8 times original density
Case II: If mass reduces (sphere is cut)
In this case density remains the same
