When the net force on the body is zero, the body will undergo uniform motion and it will cover equal distance in equal interval of time.
According to Newton's second law,
F = ma
If F = 0, then the acceleration will be zero.
When the acceleration is zero then the velocity of the body is constant and we can say that the body is undergoing uniform motion.
