would pack up my family and pets in our camper and spend our last days together off the grid, on the coast of Maine where the Atlantic Ocean meets their fragrant pine forests. We wouldn't have any connection to the world; no news, no neighbors…I would have made sure we had all of our favourite foods, our scrapbook albums with photos and mementos to relive the happiest times of our lives. We would spend that final week reflecting on the good years we have had, laughing about the things which have become our family stories, loving each other, feasting all the while. When the inevitable happens, whatever it is, we will all (pets, too) take a lethal dose of something to make us all slip painlessly into unconciousness as we say our goodbyes, holding hands.
