Evacuate any people to safety, call the fire station to salvage what can be salvaged, and take care of the wounded. You can not do anything else after the explosion.

I wish you take the following precautions before, to avoid such a catastrophe. E.g.,

Never keep the LPG Cylinder at an indoor place which could catch fire. Because it explodes ONLY on getting overheated in case of a fire.IF IT IS KEPT IN THE KITCHEN (which is unfortunately the practice in INDIA), take extra precautions to prevent all possible causes of a fire breaking out- due to any gas leak or due to overheating of edible oil in a frying pan or any flammable things getting exposed to heat/ignition etc.If a fire does break out, provision for extinguishing it fast, using a fire blanket and suitable fire extinguishers.But most people wait for these catastrophes to happen, and I wonder even after that also, do they take care of the above precautions?Today, Govt has announced plans for deposit free new connections of LPG to the poor. I expect more deaths and damages due to these (largely avoidable) explosions.I request concerned authorities to take and enforce necessary corrective steps for existing and any new connections, in line with the rest of the world using LPG for cooking...
