Given,

Minuend of the given subtraction = biggest two digit number

Subtrahend of the given subtraction = 3 times x

To find,

The final result (difference) of the given subtraction.

Solution,

First of all, we have to calculate the actual numerical value of the minuend.

The biggest two digit number is 99 because the next consecutive number is a three digit number.

So, the minuend is 99.

Subtrahend = 3 times x = 3×x = 3x

Subtraction = Minuend - Subtrahend = 99-3x

Hence, the final result will be (99-3x).
