ATURE OF PROBLEM

 

Uttar Kannada is the fifth largest district in the state of Karnataka. The district is blessed with enough rainfall, fertile land, forest and the beautiful coastal belt. In spite of this, thedistrict has not developed to its full potential even to this day.Though the district is rich in natural resources, it has not developed in this area as aprofitable business because of natural advantage but there comes a problem of infrastructurefacilities. There are many rivers in the district but the irony is that many villages in thedistrict are suffering from lack of safe drinking water facility.Many villages lack road connectivity, electricity and so on. The development of adequateinfrastructure has got global importance in the aftermath of Globalization. If infrastructure isnot properly developed, it will be a hurdle for economic development. Therefore, dueattention should be given to this problem
