on increasing its length it will also increase

and on increasing diameter it will decrease as Area of cross section will reduce

R=rho × l/A

Hi Mate,

1. if you will increase the length of the metal wire, then the resistance of that metal wire will decrease because resistance is directly proportional to length.

2. similarly, if you will increase its diameter, the resistance of metal wire will get decrease because the diameter of its cross-sectional area is increasing.
