what would be the final temperature of a mixture of 150g of water at 50 c temperature is added to 250g of water at 30c temperature​

Answer :

◈ 150g of water at 50°C temp. is added to 250g of water at 30°C.

We have to find final temp. of mixture.

Let final temp. of mixure be T.

As per law of calorimetry, Heat loss by hot substance is always equal to the heat gain by cold substance.

➝ Heat loss = Heat gain

➝ m_1C(T_1 - T) = m_2C(T - T_2)

➝ 150(50-T) = 250(T-30)

➝ 750-15T = 25T-750

➝ 1500 = 40T

T = 37.5°C

Hence, Temperature of mixure will be 37.5°C.
