Here is your answer:-----
Spermatids are haploid gametic cells of Male.
As human beings are diploid.... having 46 chromosomes. 44 somatic chromosomes and 2 are sex chromosomes.
As the spermatids are formed by the meiosis cell division which is reduction division, that's why it's chromosomes number decreases and becomes half of the parental no. of chromosomes which is 23 chromosomes.
