What would be the ratio of the weight of an object on the earth and on the moon the acceleration due to gravity on the moon is one sixth of its value on the earth?

As we know that the weight of a person on the earth is

W (weight)= mg

Here 'm' is the mass which is independent of gravity and is the same for both earth and moon.

Weight of the person on the moon will be  

mg x 1/6

so the ratio will be :

weight of the object on moon/ weight of the object on the earth=1/6
