Salivary Glands will help in secretion of saliva.
So if ducts of salivary glands are closed then the following consequences may result:
1. Absence of saliva in mouth and hence we cannot judge the taste of food.
2. Absence of mastication process.
3. Carbohydrates cannot be digested which results in lack of energy .
4. Because of lack of energy , metabolic activities will not take place.
5. Body suffers wit disorders related to deficiency.
6. Cell will lack all nutrients and ultimate the organism will die.

If the salivary glands gets blocked or closed, it creates painful symptoms and results. As this is a gland which keeps the mouth wet and help protect teeth against bacteria and makes it easy to swallow. So with out salivary gland all of this will not happen and serious problems will occur.
