if earth stops rotating then one part of earth would have only day and other half only night. the first half would have hot and other half cold as it cannot receive sun's ray.

if the earth would stop rotating than certainly there will be no day and night.the part of earth facing the sun would have day forever and have more temperature and the part of earth away from the sun will have night forever and eventually its temperature will decrease as it receive no sun rays.
