As india was under tbe occupation of British for mote then 90 plus year's that is from 1857 to 1947 and were livingin the democratic setup and were well versed eith the system so they decided to adopt this system, if there would have been no Democratic setup then there was a a possibility if American system of presidential form of govt and there would have been lesser number of political paties and forming of political parties day in and day out would have been much less as it is today, ,there would had. Been less corruption and less crimes as in presidential system the president is more powerful as compared to prime minister
