What would happen if the ducts of salivary glands are closed?

If ducts of salivary glands are closed then saliva will not be there in the mouth. Thus, the action of salivary amylase will not occur i.e, starch doe not get converted to sugar. Also, food will not be moistened.

INTRODUCTION:Salivary glands is a type of exocrine gland.It secretes saliva ie.,1-1.5litres per day.
IF salivary glands are closed then
1)Absence of saliva in mouth.(cannot judge out food taste)
2)no mastication process .
3)carbohydrates are not digested
4)the person suffer with deficiency disorder
5)no metabolic activity will take place
6)no energy
7)cell die with out nutrients and at last organisms dies
