Answer:

The large intestine is the part of the alimentary canal which facilitates the digestion of food in the body. The large intestine consists of the caecum and colon. The major function of the large intestine is to absorb water from the undigestible food components and transmits the useless waste material in the form of faeces  from the body. If it does not function properly then water access of water will be lost from the body and may also result in improper of feaces production.
