It is the outer most and covering part of cell. It is also known as SELECTIVELY PERMIABLE MEMBRANE. Bcoz... it allows only certain materials , which are useful to cell... It also allows some materials to pass outside of cell...
If the plasma membrane ruptures or breaks...then all the organells of all the cells mixes up and it may leads to the death of the human being.

hey frnd here is ur answer.....
if plasma membrane rupters or break down then the cell would not be able to exchange its food materials or to do diffusion or osmosis ...due to this protoplasmic material will disappear and finally the cell wil die....
