what would happen if the seed covered with moist cloth is kept in the fridge .why

Acutally, seed germinates quicker if it is already kind of sprouted. so, when u keep a seed in fridge, basically you retain moisture in it and thus in 2 weeks or so, u get a sprouted seeds
