Hey freind ,here is ur answer....
As we know that , animals are heterotrophic by nature so they are dependent on plants and the herbivores are directly dependent on plants and if there were no plants then there is no chance for herbivores to alive and, in this way , the carnivores are directly dependent on herbivores and indirectly dependent on plants ,so, if herbivores are absent then also there is no chance for carnivores to alive.
As we can say that plants is necessary for animals.
