Switches would melt if high volt electricity is passed through it.

Thermoplastics are less effective than the thermosetting plastic for making switches as it changes its shape when heat is passed through it. Whereas thermosetting plastics are hard so it will not change its shape when a high amount of heat is passed. Instead of thermosetting plastic thermoplastics could be used for making switches as they are bad conductor of heat and electricity as compared to thermoplastic.
