Let the length be x and breadth be y.
Area of rectangle = xy
Now if length becomes double, then
Length = 2x
Breadth = y
So area = 2xy.
= 2 ( xy)
= 2 ( previous area)
Comparing both areas we get that,
Area also gets doubled as length gets doubled.
