what would happen to the pattern of flow of the ocean currents if the the earth were to stop rotating?
Would they still be there.

Of Course no.Because if earth stop rotating,only then when it is out of orbit and it will be than there will be disbalance in atmosphere and it will be start flowing in the air

Ok.In easy word you can say it will start floating in mid-air or dislocate from it's place
